Project I and II.

Teaching Methods

Methodology used in lectures: - The subject of each lesson is documented with case studies (architectural works), selected according to their relevance, but having as required conditions a clear cultural position and architectural language refinement, being always presented with reference to their context.

Methodology used in the practical sessions: - Learning is based on the integration of the choices regarding the materialization of architecture in the development of the practical exercises of Project III course unit.

Learning Outcomes

- Envisioning the construction systems (relating them with the other parameters involved in architecture, resulting in the command of the relationship between form and construction system).

- Creating awareness of value of the representations elements (scale model, technical drawing, sketch, photograph, text, language, etc. as design tools to integrate and develop materials and construction options in the design).

- Providing coherence to design decisions at several scales up to details.

- Introducing into the project development the consideration of its life cycle (resulting in the command of the relationship between form, construction system and environmental impact).
