Teaching Methods

Since there are no curricular times, the teaching methodologies differ according to the activities developed by the students. Nevertheless, periodical sessions of thematic discussions on the state of affairs of the assignments and the questions they pose are stipulated.

Learning Outcomes

Students should acquire eminently practical competences in different spheres of Archaeology's fields of action, namely at the level of field and office/laboratory work. Students should also develop this practice in a productive dialogue with other scientific and/or professional fields of study.

Syllabus

The course contents comprise several approaches that promote the development of field and office/laboratory practices, as well as the participation in conferences, workshops, traineeships and field trips that take place in an extra-curricular framework and in processes of transfer of knowledge to the community.

 

1. Archaeological field activities (prospections; excavations and others)

2. Office activities (study of materials and cartographic analyses, among others)

3. Participation in scientific meetings (Conferences, Symposiums, Round Tables, Workshops...)
