Learning Outcomes

The aim of this course unit is for students with a basic training in Archaeology to reflect on the multiple dimensions of this subject. Aware of this diversity, students are expected to develop the ability to reflect on archaeological heritage, training themselves in the reflection and criticism of the different ways of practicing Archaeology and using its results, through the real (or simulated) formulation of projects (of research, the musealization of sites, editing, knowledge transfer, etc., and the profitability of the archaeological heritage itself). Students should be able to draft a research/ valorization/ dissemination project (centered in a monument/ a group of monuments/ archaeological sites, etc.), organize a scientific meeting, publish a paper or a leaflet, define the contents of an information board, organize a field trip, a catalog of sites, a cultural route, write reports of field trips, etc.
