Teaching Methods

This class also is organized around the clarification of basic concepts and theoretical models. The themes will seek to encourage the questioning of the syllabus. Professors will use diverse materials: books, documents and media. This class will also stimulate debate and a balanced professor/student interaction. Students will be given the general bibliography and research literature, as well as guidance on methodological, bibliographic and documentary research.

Learning Outcomes

Contribute to and promote advanced interdisciplinary learning on topics of political, social, economic and cultural topics, and provide a systematic understanding of the topics and problems posed.

Ensure that doctoral students analyze the phenomena in a critical and interdisciplinary manner, adopting theoretical and methodological perspectives that enable them to develop skills leading to the completion of a doctoral dissertation.

1. Construction of history, the Nation, the State and the Nation-State

2. Crises, reconstruction and economic growth

3. Demographic ebbs and flows.
