Teaching Methods

Lectures follow a seminar regime. Seminars will take place from the exposure of the syllabus and the discussion of the texts relevant to the study of the subjects, previously worked by the students. The active participation of students in seminaries also presupposes the presentation and discussion in class of their work as components of the evaluation.

Learning Outcomes

Acquire skills in systematic exploration of regulatory and explanatory questions about communication and media, from the reading and discussion of representative authors of the contemporary social theory;

Develop, through practical examples, capabilities in questioning the place of the media in society, the impact of society on the media and the complexity of these relationships;

Enable learning and the use of basic tools of academic research.
