Teaching Methods
The teaching methodologies articulate lectures, texts thematic presentations by students and guided discussions by the teacher.
Apart from the generic literature, students will have a set of texts that will be available for each session, from which it will aimed to make a link between the content exposed by the teacher (first part of each session), actual cases presented by students and discussion raised by the debate (second part of each session). Thus, it seeks to articulate the study of content deemed framers with different rules related to communication and journalism.
Learning Outcomes
1. Understand the origins and major currents of contemporary ethical thought.
2. Develop skills for ethical and deontological reasoning about media information and communication.
3. Promote critical reasoning about the information and communication society within a framework of thought articulated with issues of law, ethics and morals.
4. Understand the role of the professions in contemporary societies and forms of self-regulation and social responsibility.
