Recommended Prerequisites
Medieval History of Portugal.
Teaching Methods
Theoretical-practical classes. Students will be encouraged to actively participate in the analysis, interpretation and commentary on sources, presentation of critical readings of books and articles, oral presentations about certain points and themes of the program, which they can also submit in written form.
Learning Outcomes
Students will gain a deeper understanding of the Medieval History of Portugal, in which the powers - public and private, regal, ecclesiastical and secular. We also intend to provide multiple approaches in fields such as institutional, political, economic and social, as well as increase the ability to search for chronological and thematic connections.
Students will also be equipped with specific theoretical and methodological tools for research and historical construction and gain skills inherent in the self-planning and implementation of projects, capable of providing the student with an academic specialization with the use of research activity and innovation, through the preparation of a dissertation or a project.

5. The evolutions of landlords: transition from the fourteenth to the fifteenth century.
6. The evolution of municipal government: the election of local officials; profiles of activities of governing individuals.
