- Knowledge and understanding of fundamental concepts in statistics applied to Anthropology

- Ability to formulate problems based on the knowledge gained in the discipline

- Critical evaluation of assumptions and empirical data in Anthropology requiring quantitative methods

- Ability to identify and select between qualitative or quantitative methods for the resolution of social and / or biological problems

- Ability to write reports

- Ability to work effectively independently and in groups.

2. Quantitative versus qualitative analysis

3. Introduction to the collection and processing of data.

4. Qualitative Data Analysis (brief mention)

5. Quantitative data analysis:

  Types of data and statistical distributions. Types of data and statistical techniques. Probability, hypothesis and experimental design. Descriptive Statistics Inferential Statistics data for non continuous. X2, nonparametric tests for continuous data Inferential Statistics. T-tests, ANOVA, Correlation and Regression.
