Recommended Prerequisites

Understanding of data analysis in the social sciences and experience in the use of statistical analysis, graphic and cartographic representation programs. Knowledge of English, French and Spanish at the B1 level in reading comprehension (Cf.  Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Teaching Methods

Lectures will serve to frame the syllabus in parallel with the heuristic method and the active participation of students, creating teaching-learning strategies anchored in different media, enabling the acquisition of knowledge and skills in research practices within leisure and tourism. Regular practice exercises using specific software when appropriate. Guidance will be provided to support students in these exercises.

Understand the theoretical assumptions of research and apply them to their work.

Understand the paradigms, methodologies and techniques involved in research.

Identify the principles of research and the phases of the research process.

Carefully collect updated and relevant information from varied appropriate and credible sources.

Understand the underlying principles of different tools for collecting information and how to apply them.

Process and analyze information and use of software specific to the nature of the data.

Organize the collected research from a statistical analysis, written expression and graphical and cartographic representation perspective.
