Theoretical /practical classes and Conferences within the themes of this seminar.  Evaluation will be in accordance with FLUC's policies.

Learning Outcomes

The goal of this class is to give students in the Master's in Tourism, Planning and Heritage training enabling them to participate in cultural processes and in the dynamics linked to asset management whether material or immaterial heritage.  On the other hand it seeks to provide students with skills to promote sustained coordination between cultural assets and tourism demand in general and give particular relevance to UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

On the other hand, students will apply and deepen their knowledge of research demonstrating individual qualities in the collection and processing of information, presentations in class, writing texts (written work) in accordance with good academic standards, and develop intervention skills through active participation in critical assessments of current projects and works by national and international authors.

This class has specific characteristics due to it being a mandatory class under the guidelines of the UNESCO Chair Tourism and Cultural Development.  In this context the syllabus is linked to the objectives of the Chair:

Throughout the semester several conferences will be held with other international programs or with those responsible for the management of listed sites.
