Pathophysiology and Propaedeutics. Biochemistry and Microscopy also.

Teaching Methods

15T-P classes directed to the totality of the students, 1h of seminar and 15h of TO.

T-P lessons include expositive explanation using audiovisual tools but will focus on clinical cases. Seminar will focus future scenarios. TO will be based on interactivity, questioning and multidisciplinary knowledge.

Learning Outcomes

The major objectives of Laboratory Medicine can be defined as a strategy for ordering and performing appropriate laboratory testing at the wright time, with the goal of providing high-quality, cost-effective patient care.

The particulars of each test, fundaments of reference values and clinical decision levels will be also taken as main learning outcomes.

Skills

- correct request and interpretation of laboratory tests;

- correct definition of laboratory test semiotic value;

- correct clinical-laboratory interaction.
