Elective
1st Cycle Studies
Recommended Prerequisites
Knowledge and mastery of the common techniques taught in the course in mathematics at the secondary education.
Teaching Methods
Detailed lectures (using occasionally some audio-visual devices) introducing and explaining concepts, principles and theories. Theoretical-practical classes, in which the students with the guidance of the teacher, solve exercises. The evaluation consists of a final exam or, alternatively, two intermediate tests (for this, it is required the presence of 75% of the theoretical-practical classes).
Learning Outcomes
The aim of this curricular unit is to provide the main concepts and techniques of complex numbers, linear equations systems, matrices, linear transformations, inner product spaces, eigenvalues and eigenvectors.
Acquiring capabilities in synthesis and analysis, oral and written communication, problems solving, critic reflection, autonomous learning, and practical application of theoretical knowledge.
