The knowledge acquired along the first five teaching years of Integrated Master Degree in Medicine (IMM).

Learning Outcomes

Learning and deepening the communication skills with patient, their relatives, and other envolved health care professionals; learning and development of patient global medical history making, organized in orther tho achive diagnostic and prognostic outcomes; learning and development of appropriated complementary diagnosis tools; training of essential/basic medical and surgical procedures, commonly used in ordinary medical practice; development of therapeutical decision skills including those used at the emmergency room, hospital in and outpatients, and community clinics. Training and development of followup procedures.Understanding of objectives and functions of Public Health speciallity and functions of Health Authorities.

Syllabus

Practical clinical skills: ability to take full medical history, establishing appropriate differencial diagnosis, final diagnosis and therapeutical intervention. Promotion of general medical competences in different settings: medical, surgical, psyquiatric, paediatric and oncology wards (inpatients), outpatients clinics and emmergency room. Theoretical and practical classes: PBL (Problem Based Learning). Multidisciplinary approach to essential medical conditions including General Family and Public Health related issues. Understanding basic principles of Public Health Care and Public Health regulation as well, basics on Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine.
