Nephrology:Urinary Tract Anatomy; Kidney Histology(basic); Kidney Physiology(basic); Pharmacology of the main drugs acting on kidney(basic);English Language;Basic knowledge in Informatics and Statistics.

Urology: Anatomy, Histology and Phisiology of the Genito-urinary Tract. Microbiology.  Knowledge of the  main aspects of oncogenisis and oncologic pathology. English language. Generic basis of Informatic and Statistics (SPSS).

Learning Outcomes

The student should be able to:

1-To perform a clinical history in a patient with a primary or secondary kidney pathology, pathology of the urinary tract and male genitalia;2-To know how to establish a differential diagnosis and propose a plan of additional investigation based on the application of  the most appropriate diagnostic tests;3-To know how to apply a correct and rational therapeutic plan to each pathology, bearing in mind the urgency criteria;4-To establish a prognosis.

1 - Urinary Tract - kidney anatomy and histology; kidney physiology; kidney functions; Semiology (in collaboration with Urology);2-Hydro-electrolytical and acid-base balance; 3 -Chronic renal disease;4 - Acute kidney injury; 5- Glomerulonephritis; 6 - Interstittial nephritis; Urolithiais; Urinary tract infection(in collaboration with Urology); 7 - Secondary Nephropaties: diabetic nephropaty; auto-immune disesaes; cardio-renal and hepato-renal syndromes; 8 -Hypertension (essencial vs secondary); renovascular hypertension (in collaboration with Urology)

Urology: Urologic Semiology; Urologic Emergency, Endoscopy and Urologic Instrumentation. Urinalysis, Urodynamics, Imagiology. Prostate - Anatomy and Phisiology, PSA. BPH.  Urologic Oncology. Cystic Disease of the Kidney. Lithiasis and Urinary Infections (with Nephrology). Obstructive Uropaty  Bladder Dysfunctions. Urinary Incontinency Urologic Trauma. VR Hypertension and Renal Transplant (with Nephrology). Andrology.
