Recommended Prerequisites

Must have knowledge of human anatomy, basic biochemistry and be in knowledge acquisition process in human physiology as well as having the basic knowledge of basic life support, basic surgical techniques, concepts of clinical interview skills, in recognition of major clinical entities and principles of medical techniques of general clinical examination and relationships in the team, communication and surgery gestures acquired before.

Teaching Methods

Lectures; practical classes in simulation models, role-playing and videos; final seminars integrating the knowledge and skills of all aspects of the course by demonstration through interactive clinical cases.

Learning Outcomes

Know, understand and demonstrate: what to do and how to recognize a cardiac arrest in multiple scenarios and the foundation for advanced life support

Know, understand and demonstrate: oral and written skills to make a report, present the clinical history of a patient, communicate accurately and with power synthesis before the patient or family

Know and understand: what is catastrofe medicine and how to act

Know, understand and demonstrate: the Code of Ethics; what is the meaning of medical error; what they are and how to apply the advance directives will and ethical aspects of Research.
