Recommended Prerequisites
Must have or be in the process of acquiring knowledge of human anatomy, basic biochemistry and basic knowledge of basic life support, basic surgical techniques, clinical interview concepts and relationships in the team acquired in the 1st semester.
Teaching Methods
Lectures; practical classes in simulation models, role-playing and videos; final seminars integrating the knowledge and skills of all aspects of the course by demonstration through interactive clinical cases.
Learning Outcomes
Know, understand and demonstrate: knowledge of developments in the history of medicine and its connection to current scientific concepts
Know, understand and demonstrate: what are the major syndromes, reactions to illness and disease concepts and relationship between this and the reactions of the individual
Know and understand: what is the polytrauma patient and what kinds of care should have.
Know, understand and demonstrate: what is the evidence-based medicine and its limits and virtues
Know, understand and demonstrate: what is medical confidentiality and the concept of humanization in medicine.
