Recommended Prerequisites

When starting this course, it is considered that students have a solid preparation in the context of Cell and Molecular Biology, Human Anatomy, Biochemistry and Biophysics.

It is all the advantage that the teaching and study of materials of "Histology and Embryology" and "Physiology" are temporally integrated as much as possible.

Teaching Methods

Lectures, where it proceeds to the contextualization of the syllabus which include the integration of knowledge regarding the histology and developmental biology. The practical teaching in laboratory equipped with a microscope per student, takes place in classes that should not exceed 15 students being carried out with the initial projection of a small number of images relating to the matter under study, following the observation corresponding histological slides in individual study, permanently accompanied by a teacher.

Learning Outcomes

Developing skills for a rational understanding of the meaning of macroscopic perspective, microscopic and molecular based on histophysiological bases tissue, lymphatic organs and cardiovascular system.

Acquire a solid education in a structured and rational manner, proceed to the identification, essentially using microscopic equipment, the formations that make up the different tissues and constant training organized the program.

Developing the associative capacity of correlation between structure and function.

Acquire a broad view of embryonic development, histogenesis and organogenesis, based on gene interdependence, an enlarged view of developmental biology.

Develop individual and independent capacity building and critical analysis, stimulating learning and updating.
