Recommended Prerequisites

Students must have a systematic knowledge of Portuguese language and literature and they must be familiar to  aesthetic-literary and cultural coordinates.

Teaching Methods

Presentation and discussion of historical-literary content and theoretical concepts; practice of literary reading.

Edition of a collective anthology of literary excerpts and / or works of full reading and its readings in terms of literary education.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completing the course, the student is expected to:

- master the core concepts covered in the syllabus;

- understand the history of youth literature  written in Portuguese;

- understand the classics of world literature recommended in NLP

- select literary texts that are adequate for adult education;

- develop strategies for teaching students to love literature.
