Teaching Methods

Lectures are considered as participatory elements in the theoretical framework and exploration of content.

The organization of a research project associated with a specific event and territories serves as a framework for various participatory activities in order to enhance the capabilities and skills of students. 

The interpretation of texts about functions and forms and about urban differences and homogeneity, will serve to promote a thorough understanding of the issues and concepts that intersect with the core elements of this class.

Learning Outcomes

Students will gain an understanding of the diversity of shapes and urban functions and how to structure the territory and organize areas of influence.

Understand and interpret the concepts associated with diversity and differentiation.

Recognize the importance of public space in urban space.

Be able to understand and interpret how the population uses the city in terms of everyday life (consumption, production and socialization).

Be able to interpret the city as a tourist destination and a space of tourism supply and demand.

Be able to interpret and apply models of planning and urban regeneration in order to improve the overall quality of life of the populace.

Correctly use terminology specific to this class.

Be able to critically review texts.

Discuss opinions in the context of a group or forum and assume positions of hetero-criticism and self-criticism.
