Teaching Methods

Presentation and discussion of the main themes to allow students to reflect on the current economic dynamics, using literature (books, articles and documents/reports/studies), websites, documentaries, reports and films.
Practical sessions aim to strengthen the themes developed in the lectures and the use of data and analytical methodologies of economic space.  Fieldwork and visit to companies and institutions with the goal of enhancing the knowledge and skills acquired in the theoretical and practical lessons.

- Distinguish the prospect of Economic Geography of Economics.

- Present the main changes in the themes and theoretical approaches of Economic Geography.

- Understand and discuss aspects of the functioning of the economic system.

- List and evaluate the changes associated with the capitalist dynamic.

- Analyze the major logics and dynamics of the spatial organization of economic activities.

- Discuss the relationship between economic activities and development.

- Use of different methodologies and indicators to analyze the economic space.
