Teaching Methods

Lectures: PowerPoint presentations. Practical exercises: Visual analysis and interpretation of geomorphological structures from simple satellite images; Extraction of alignments to the surface from remote sensing products; Determination of the status of the vegetation by building Vegetation Indices; Creation and validation mapping of use and occupation of land from the digital analysis of satellite imagery.

Learning Outcomes

Domain of key concepts related to the acquisition, integration, exploration and spatial analysis of geographic information. Assimilation of methodological bases for interpreting visual and digital satellite images. Acquisition of practical skills in the field of remote sensing, in a GIS environment.
