Teaching Methods
Theoretical-practical classes.
The theoretical sessions are lecture based.
Practical sessions complement and clarify the theoretical content through the analysis of meteorological information, diverse synoptic maps, satellite images and radar, and the interpretation and explanation of "weather types", especially in Europe and Portugal.
Learning Outcomes
This class has as its primary objective the explanatory analysis of dynamical foundations and bases of synoptic spatial diversity of "climate", on a global and regional scale.
It is intended that students understand "climate" in the perspective of "weather types".
