Teaching Methods

The course work with theoretical and practical classes. The first, more expository, will be oriented towards the presentation and discussion of the syllabus topics. The practical classes will be devoted to supporting and exemplification exercises.

1. Statistical analysis in Geography: basic and broad concepts.
2. Data organization, exploration and description: measures of centrality, dispersion, and shape.
3. Study of concentration.
4. Standardization and normal distribution.
5. Basic principles of sampling.
6. Relationship between two characters: correlation and linear regression.
