Teaching Methods

Teaching methodos are based on lectures on the topics of the syllabus using IT tools and texts, and active and critical participation of students is encouraged. Relevant national and international texts will be read, analyzed and discussed in class.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, students are expected to:

Understand and assimilate the fundamental concepts and principles of Archival Theory and master its terminology;

Know the phases and operations needed to manage archival information as well as the methods of archival organization, communication and description;

Know how to characterize archive information systems in the light of systemic theory;

Have acquired skills in the application of the quadripolar method;

Have acquired analytical techniques and skills to represent information when developing access instruments.
