Teaching Methods
Mostly practical classes, some including theoretical presentations supported by examples. As a rule, classes will involve working groups, supervised by the teacher, in which students are expected to develop and work on the topics proposed. Thus, they will provide a space for collective debate, in which students will be able to deepen theoretical concepts and apply the methodologies learned to practical cases.
Learning Outcomes
This course aims to provide students with practice in pre-coordinated and post-coordinated languages, as well as in drafting abstracts. Thus, students are expected to acquire skills in applying methodological approaches, and also to improve their analytical and critical skills in what concerns the interpretation of the current regulations for the preparation of the products resulting from the application of these languages.

1. Conceptualization and contextualization of documental languages in what concerns the index system.
2. Conceptual characterization of methodological frameworks considered in this matter.
3. Typology of techniques, models and tools for each methodological approach to be used in the operationalization of each type of documental language.
