Teaching Methods

The structure of the classes will consist of presentations of the syllabus and discussions on the topics presented, encouraging student participation. Reading exercises are proposed, followed by analysis and discussion of texts, and theoretical-practical sessions designed to illustrate the subject. Evaluation includes the preparation and group presentation of a practical work of research/application of knowledge acquired and a test.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the semester, students should be able to:
1. Identify, understand and evaluate the main aspects of the integrated management of resources in Archives, Libraries and other information service units;
2. Understand the fundamental management processes and apply appropriate management techniques to the resources of those institutions in order that they can achieve full efficiency and operate with maximum efficacy.
