Syllabus

Depending on the preferences and expertise of the professors responsible for each version of the Seminar, the topics and texts discussed will vary each semester. These may encompass the different epochs of the History of Philosophy – Ancient, Medieval, Modern, and Contemporary – and/or different philosophical disciplines with the corresponding themes – Epistemology, Logic, Ontology, Anthropology, Aesthetics, Ethics, and Politics.

Example:  the course may concentrate on one major work of a philosopher (among others: Aristotle’s Metaphysics, Augustine's De Magistro, Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason, Wittgenstein’s Tractatus or J. Rawls' Theory of Justice) or on one theme scrutinized across several texts written by different authors pertaining to the same historical period or to different epochs.

Nota Bene: before the beginning of the semester, a detailed syllabus will be published.
