Teaching Methods
The starting point for teaching and learning in this course are lectures on the main topics, followed by practical classes where the issues are discussed based on texts previously assigned for that purpose.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the semester, students should be able to form a clear idea of the epistemic subject, of the nature of scientific knowledge and how it differs from other types of knowledge, taking into account some of the major twentieth century epistemological currents; understand how a scientific discipline is organized and what interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity mean in scientific work. Students should also be able to understand the kind of values mobilized in scientific activity.
