This class will begin with lectures on the main topics and practical sessions of debate and questioning using texts previously provided herein or from practical problems inherent in migration and multiculturalism in Europe.

Learning Outcomes

Migration and Multiculturalism in Europe aims to familiarize students with the possible connections of the issue of migration in Europe (both internal, within Europe itself, or external, from Europe to other continents both the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere) with the reality of multiculturalism and the various political responses to this phenomenon, at various levels of analysis. It also aims to provide some practical skills in the context of socio-cultural mediation.  At the end of the semester, students will have gained  knowledge and reasoning skills to discuss issues within the diversity and relativity of values inherent to each culture and platforms for dialogue and cooperation between groups that use them.
