Teaching Methods
The classes will focus predominantly on the use of the language, starting with very simple statements, illustrated by pictures that help the reader to understand the content. Comprehensive reading of texts with constant appeal to the reader's ability to observe so that he or she captures meanings and deducts the main grammatical rules. Grammar contents will thus be introduced from the texts studied. High level of activity: students will be continuously called to intervene, both in class and in homework.
Learning Outcomes
To bring the student closer to the elementary use of the mother tongue of the common European past. The student acquires elementary vocabulary, knows the fundamental models of nominal flexion, as well as some verb tenses of thematic conjugations and also knows the fundamental rules of syntax in order to understand simple statements. In addition, the student acquires contact with Latin etymology as the key to understanding the language itself.

1. The alphabet.
2. The Latin pronunciation: traditional and restored
3. The accentuation.
Morphology
1. Nominal bending of nouns and adjectives; some pronouns and pronomic adjectives
2. Verbal flexion (this and the four thematic conjugations): infecum times of indicative mode (active voice and passive voice), imperative mode (active voice), infinitive mode (active voice). The Past Perfect Indicative
3. Some invariable words: adverbs, conjunctions and prepositions more frequent.
Syntax
1. The functions of the cases.
2. The main circumstantial complements.
3. Coordination and subordination (only subordinate clauses with the verb in the callsign).
Lexicon
1. Families of words.
2. Prefixes and suffixes (more frequent).
