Syllabus

The syllabus aims to consolidate the students' knowledge of Attic Greek at an intermediary level, to which purpose the two authors which act as mainstays are Xenophon and Euripides. Selected pieces from Xenophon's Anabasis and Cyropaedia will be read and translated in class, with a clear grammatical focus. From Euripides, the selected pieces are taken from the plays Alcestis, Helen, Orestes and Bacchae.
