Teaching Methods

The classes will be both theoretical and practical. The presentation of each scientific and methodological input will be contextualized and accompanied by image analysis.

Learning Outcomes

1. To be able to critically characterize and contextualize the definitions of art work;

2. To understand the functions of art history;

3. To critically define the role of an art historian;

4. To contextualize, relate and characterize the various theoretical and methodological contributions that have marked the development of the discipline of art history;

5. Develop critical thinking skills, given the challenges posed by the "new art history."
