Learning Outcomes

Students will learn fundamental concepts and acquire linguistic analysis tools. These will provide a comprehensive knowledge of European Portuguese syntactic structures. At the end of the semester, they should be able to recognize, to analyse, to describe and to explain these structures (sentence structures, phrases, lexical and syntagmatic categories and functions). They are also expected to recognize, to discuss and to explain syntactic structures that are more complex in production and in language processing.
