Learning Outcomes
Students will learn concepts and tools for linguistic analysis using French structures as an example. At the end of the semester, theyshould be able to identify, describe and analyse:
(i) phonemes (transcription according to IPA norms);
(ii) word formation;
(iii) classes, constituents and functions, as well as French particularities in agreement and word order;
(iv) argument structures and thematic roles;
(v) indexation and referencing processes;
(vi) speech acts.
