Teaching Methods

Learning processes of initial levels of foreign languages are carefully put into practices. Each syllabus topic will be presented with care and in detail. Students have an active role in their own learning process: they will observe, discover, deduct, reuse and organize French structures. The main methodologies are interactive language practice in reading / writing comprehension and in Reading / writing production.

Learning Outcomes

This course enables students to accomplish tasks in different areas of academic and social life in French language, through the acquisition of communicative, linguistic and cultural knowledge. It will develop what students have learned in French 1.

The course corresponds to the A.2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Grammatical contents:

Positive and negative imperative, past & future tenses

Questions: articles and interrogative pronouns

Exclamatives

Direct and indirect object pronouns - indirect verbs

Temporal and spatial localization: prepositions, adverbs and pronouns

Intensity adverbs, comparison, genitive

Lexical contents:

The city, leisure, transportation

Daily life & activities, meals

Events: accidents, parties, family celebrations, tours, excursions

Social-cultural contents and language uses:

Daily life in France

Address forms 

Personal, commercial and administrative letter / e-mail

Express feelings, explain likes or dislikes

Describe past and / or future activities and personal experiences.
