Teaching Methods
Each theme will be introduced by a lecture, followed by readings of historical texts and essays. Whenever possible, audiovisual ocumentaries will also be presented. Students will read and comment in class excerpts from compulsory literary texts.
Learning Outcomes
The syllabus is designed so that students may be aware of the geographical dispersion and the literary production diversity, both thematic and cultural, of Hisanic America. Students will learn about with reference authors, and they will learn some peculiarities of American Spanish. Since Hispanic American cultures are simultaneously very close and very apart from European cultures, these literatures provide linguistic and civilizacional knowledge that helps them to embrace inter-relations with other communities.
