Learning Outcomes
Students should have an understanding of the historic and cultural context of the foundation of Spain and its people, identify and contextualize the main historic events, its most representative protagonists in different areas and times, as well as its different readings.

Around the idea of Spanish different cultures, important periods in the History of Spain will be focus: Spain under the Catholic Kings, sixteenth century: art and culture under the Habsburgs, the golden century, the Enlightenment and XXth century tension between revolution, nationalism and democracy: 2nd Republic; Civil War; Franco dictatorship; Spain's transition; autonomic reality.
