Teaching Methods

Favouring active learning methodologies, the contents are discussed and illustrated, whenever possible, with examples, encouraging students to present their own knowledge about the several themes. Self-check exercises are carried out using online platforms.

The analysis of case studies, communications from invited experts and field work encourage students to approach reality and their training for implementing creative and competitive activities, respecting the principles of inclusion and sustainability.

Learning Outcomes

The general objective of the course is to provide students with solid knowledge and operative skills in the field of tourist animation. Specifically, regarding:

− the fundamentals of tourist animation;

− programming and management of tourist animation in different contexts;

− trends in the area of tourist animation.

 

Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:

− understand the fundamentals of tourist animation and its legal framework;

− identify different market segments, realizing the need to adapt activities and dynamics;

− plan and manage different animation activities in different contexts;

− analyse possible positive and negative impacts;

− discuss the trends in the supply and demand of tourist animation;

− suggest and design creative strategies in this domain, respecting the principles of inclusion and sustainability.
