Teaching Methods
The lectures will be taught using presentations and interrogative methods.
The functioning of the practical classes will be directed at active methods, using practical exercises, case studies, analysis and discussion of academic papers.
Learning Outcomes
1 Grasp, interpret and apply the conceptual framework to the objects studied.
2 Analyze the role of international organizations in the protection and enhancement of intangible heritage.
3 Analyze the Portuguese case in view of the conceptual framework and a comparative logic built upon international policies and practices.
4 Develop skills in productization of intangible cultural resources as a process resulting from the implementation of a project management methodology.
5 Understand the importance of tourism in the recovery, preservation and promotion of intangible heritage.
6 Understand the identity, heritage and economic value of languages in general and Portuguese language in particular.
7 Understand historical and linguistic data explaining and illustrating the unifying and differentiating function that the Portuguese language assumes today.
