Teaching Methods
The seminar uses a theoretical-practical evaluation method: presentation of content, clarification of doubts and tasks assigned by the professor; presentation and discussion of comments and tasks by students.
Learning Outcomes
This class seeks to characterize the concepts of cultural heritage and museology (especially eco-museums), the virtues of the activities concerned with the growth of tourism and sustainable development; theoretical categories and significant empirical information for understanding the realities of museums, for the operationalization of the vectors of cooperation between cultural heritage, museums, tourism and sustainable development.
Students will acquire skills to identify the characteristics of different types of cultural heritage and assessment of the quality of various museological practices; planning of tourism that enhances the potentialities resulting from the existence of relevant nuclei of cultural heritage and museums; implementation of intervention strategies by tour agents that result in the establishment of an effective relationship with those responsible for cultural heritage and the museums.

6- Collaborative arrangements between cultural heritage, museums and tourism.
7- Integrated strategies for promoting development and addressing issues of cross-cultural heritage and museology.
8- Comparison between the Portuguese reality and developments in other countries.
