Teaching Methods

The lectures will be taught using presentations and interrogative methods.

The functioning of the practical classes will be directed at active methods, using practical exercises, case studies, analysis and discussion of academic papers.

Learning Outcomes

Overall Objective: Develop skills targeted at the development of Tourism Development Plans at various levels (local, regional and national), using the latest tourism planning models and the concept of sustainable tourism.

Specific objectives:

1 - Understand the concepts related to tourism planning

2 - Analyze the genesis and evolution of tourism planning in its direct relationship with the evolution of tourism

3 - Understand the relationship between tourism planning and sustainable tourism development 

4 - Analyze new trends in tourism planning

5 - Understand the importance of networks and collaborative projects in the context of tourism planning

6 - Understand the importance of monitoring and evaluation in the context of tourism planning

7 - Analyze national and international best practices in tourist planning

8 - Develop a plan for tourism development.
