Teaching Methods

Teaching methods value the presentation of statistical methods used in social sciences, favoring the interpretation of the results obtained with the use of computer programs for statistical processing. The practical component is the fundamental instrument for teaching and learning.

Learning Outcomes

Students will gain knowledge and skills to enable them to:

- Select analysis techniques appropriate to the objectives of tourism research;

- Identify, select and properly collect qualitative and quantitative data relevant to the analysis of tourism organizing them into data arrays;

- Calculate relevant indicators that summarize tourist activity;

- Organize the results both numerically and graphically using different statistical methodologies;

- Correctly interpret numerical and graphical results;

- Use data analysis programs (Excel).
