Learning Outcomes

Students are expected to develop an understanding of the History of Rome assuming archaeology as a subject which stimulates the discussion around the questions involving the processes of construction of an Empire. Going through mythology and putting it into perspective with the archaeological data, students will trace a path from a structure of villages which found in the Etruscan presence the construction of the characteristic equipment of a city until the evolution of the imperial space to its own identity spaces.

Articulating Political, Social and Economic History with archaeological data, students are encouraged to find the discussion a way of writing the History of Rome and understanding the diversity found in this large empire.
