Teaching Methods

In theoretical-practical classes, the proposed methodology is lecture-participatory.  The teacher will present some issues, encouraging the active participation of students.  Students will be requested to give oral presentation of several studies (interpretation and review of published and related sources, if possible, with their places of origin), which may also include a written report.  In both cases, students will be encourage to actively participate in all discussions.

Learning Outcomes

By understanding the various types of local authorities - ecclesiastical and secular landlords and even the municipal phenomenon - the / students should acquire the ability to understand how local government was, over time, a center of the lines of force structures political and social, of the Middle Ages to the present.
