Teaching Methods

The teaching methods of this course is supported on establishing the links between theory and practice given the specificity of the course.

The course contents are explained by the teacher who uses various media, including audiovisual means, taking advantage of new technologies and the different platforms that course allows.

A substantial part of the theoretical contents is accompanied by its practical aspect, in the Television Studio.

Learning Outcomes

This course aims to develop a critical sense on Television, based on the deconstruction of the television phenomenon and on the knowledge of audiovisual narrative activity.

The main objectives of this course are:

- To promote the knowledge of history and television activity.

- To facilitate the understanding and analysis of contemporary television medium.

- Highlighting the importance of media in the modern world.

- Raising awareness for a self-reflexive critique on TV.

- Disseminate authors of various "schools" on audiovisual communication.

- Understand the television phenomenon from its interior and its production.

5. The development of a script (information and fiction)

6. General principles of structuring television text.

7. The syntax of the televised speech. Levels of evaluation and characterization of the plans.

8. The report on TV: different genres. Preparation and construction in studio and outside.

9. Interview on TV. Differentiation of genres.

10. The Official Television. Production and presentation of news.

11. Planning, pre-alignments and alignments of content.

12. Architecture of a Journal Television.

13. The Direct.

14. Highlights of contemporary Television Journalism.

15. Sensationalism and spspectacularization of televised speech.
