Recommended Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of writing and producing news packages for radio or completion of Broadcast Media, (1st semester).

Teaching Methods

The teaching methodology is focused on practical training. The classes are organized on an alternate scheme, including enunciation and analysis of the various genres, followed by its actual production. Colletive hearing in classes is favored, in order to promote the development of critical thinking and analytical skills.

Learning Outcomes

It is expected that students develop their knowledge and acquire skills to work more effectively in radio journalism. This curricular unit offers practical training, focusing on the various formats and genres. On successful completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

- develop analytical listening

- understand the structure and the making of complex radio pieces 

- write news copy and prepare an audio script

- develop narration skills and read an audio script

- develop post-production skills in audio editing

- prepare and conduct interviews

- prepare and deliver completed news pieces.
