Teaching Methods
1. Theoretical-practical classes with lectures approaching the theoretical contents, along with screenings and analysis of movies, in order to put in perspective the syllabus
2. Monitoring the development of case studies related with the contents approached
3. Monitoring the preparation and development of practice-based assignments of film exercises.
As such, the learning process happens in the classroom, field works and the television studio.
Learning Outcomes
1. To know the fundamentals of the audiovisual language
2. Introduce students in the practice of recording video images in an autonomous camera and relating it to the theoretical and conceptual knowledge of audiovisual language
3. Recording image and sound, with a view to editingf films
4. Analyze and create audiovisual products in a logic of process and product
5. To apply theories of montage and manipulation of time and space in the juxtaposition of moving images
6. Produce filmic exercises.

1. Pre-cinema. Technical and cultural heritage of the cinematographic image:
the photograph. Transition of the still image to the moving image.
2. The cinematographic language: concepts of shot, framing and visual field, depth of field,off screen, scene and sequence
3. The construction of the cinematographic space: physical, social and psychological through the image.
4. Cinematic time. Movement and rhythm.
5. Editing. The concept and theories of montage.
6. Sound: syntactic functions. Sound / image relationship.
7. The processes and phases of film production.
