Establish the relationship between Latin and Portuguese fostering the understanding of the two linguistic systems.
Explore the texts on the reciprocity of its philological development (uerba) and its philosophical problematization (re)

Read a text starting from the overall apprehension of the meaning to the understanding of specific aspects: deductive reasoning
Promote tasks that lead students to organize their own conceptual schemes in the progressive construction of knowledge.
Broaden students vocabulary.

Recognizing the timeliness of Latin matrix in Portuguese culture

Enhance communication skills and the mastery of Portuguese language.

Confirm the lexical-semantic relationship between Portuguese and Latin

Analyze human dilemmas and complexities of today’s Man in translated works of Latin authors.
