Teaching Methods

Based on the communicative approach, it integrates the learning of new language skills and places equal emphasis on vocabulary and grammar. The course uses a guided discovery approach to learning, first allowing students to check what they know, then guiding them to work out the rules through carefully structured examples and concept questions.

Learning Outcomes

This is a general language course for adults who need to speak and write English in a variety of situations.Students have the opportunity to discover how the language works for them,by studying carefully selected examples with the guidance of their teacher. The syllabus combines the learning of new language with the development of functional skills and an equal importance is given to vocabulary and grammar, which are incorporated in the listening and speaking activities.
At the end of the 120 hour course students will have the confidence and skills necessary to deal with day-to-day situations in English on an intermediate level.Part I of the course completes CEFR B1 and Part II starts B2.
