Humanization of International Law

Recommended Prerequisites

Knowledge of the key legal principles and arrangements of the international legal order; proficiency in English and other foreign language.

Teaching Methods

Theoretical and practical teaching; evaluation by means of a report ellaborated and presented by the student 

Learning Outcomes

Students will be provided with knowledge of the key legal principles underpinning the international legal order, its evolution and the terms under which, as well as the resons why, humanization of that legal order is supposed to be discussed.

2. New actors in international society and their impact on the construction of the international order

3. The growing intervention of international organizations and the regionalization of international society

4. The individual and other entities, and their recognition by the international legal order

5. States, international organizations and new actors - International Law and complexification of relations in international society
